Christmas Valley is located just pasted Meyers in South Lake Tahoe where hwy 50 and hwy 89 meet, just a 20 minute drive from the hustle and bustle of the casinos. Its atmosphere is peaceful in every sense of the word, it’s engulfed by pine trees and picturesque meadows that would keep a photography hobbyist occupied through all seasons. Are you a courageous explorer?? If so Christmas Valley offer access to extreme hiking, biking and skiing/riding down the intimidating Echo Summit. Your closest ski resorts will be Kirkwood and Sierra at Tahoe each about 30 minutes away depending on traffic, but check on road conditions and if access is denied Heavenly is about 20 minutes into town. The Upper Truckee River ads to the beauty of Christmas Valley by cutting through the neighborhood, even if your not an extreme sports junkie there is plenty of activity for you, like maybe a stroll by the river or a relaxing day of fishing! With mountain views surrounding the area it creates an air of serenity that we all crave from the mountains.

This small community is made of home owners, second home owners and a few vacation rentals. There is one Condominium complex in the neighborhood that offers 2 to 3 bedroom units and double car garages. Homes in this area can have the classic Tahoe chalet look or even a more updated fashionable impression.
