Do you feel like running is just daunting and lifting can be intimidating?  That’s okay!  Find a work out that you enjoy and makes you feel good.  Plenty of people have excellent fitness routines that revolve around yoga.  Yoga is body and mind!  You will gain just as much mentally and you will physically without being bored or scared!  You can also buy various work out dvds and get your fitness in right at home!

Bottom line is find what works for you and stick with it!  If a work out sounds fun give it a try, you may love it!

It is said that if you write down your goals in life you are more likely to achieve them.  Well we are asking you to challenge yourself!  Sign up for a race, however long it may be, 5k. 10k. half marathon or even a marathon.  Whether you walk the race or obtain a personal record you will have set a goal and will need to train for it to succeed!  The best part about signing up for a race is the free training programs that you can download from the race sites!

At times doesn’t it feel like you just have no personal time and could never squeeze in a work out?  Well maybe you don’t have 30 consecutive minutes but you could find 10 minutes three times a day.  Pick a route in the morning, at noon time and in the evening and walk 5 minutes in one direction and turn around and walk back.  I mean our home of South Lake Tahoe does offer the perfect environment for it!  The more you accomplish the more motivation you’ll have!
